Jeremiah Osborne-Gowey was in town, so we headed up for an adventure the likes of which not even The Google had ever seen before.
I took a trip up a nice little creek. It was the first time I’d back up there in manny years and I had forgotten how special of an area it is.
In May on ’09, we took a trip up the McKenzie River to visit with Jeremiah Osborne-Gowey and his family and hit some touristy waterfalls.
I took a return trip to Upper Susan Creek Falls with dad, Duane Cannon, during a higher water period and it resulted in tougher hiking and better results.
Jeremiah Osborne-Gowey and I headed back up the McKenzie to Linton Lake and found an extremely impressive and well-rounded area.
While looking around the topo maps sometime last year, I noticed a faint “Falls” along Highway 138. It was in an obscure location, so I decided to check it out.
The waterfall which drew my blood last summer put up one last heroic fight to keep its secrets. It lost.
The journey detailing all of the unnamed waterfalls along Willow Creek has now been completed. It is located near the Grotto Falls area of the Little River drainage.
